Booking details and things to note

Between April and October we mainly take full week bookings of 7 nights from Fridays.From November to March we can be more flexible especially nearer the dates.

All bookings are via Cumbrian Cottages/cottages.com – please use the relevant links below to check prices, availability and to book

Jemima’s Cottage – sleeps 1 to 5

Rebecca Puddle Duck Cottage – sleeps 1-2

Please note: Short breaks and start dates other than Fridays are not always showing available on cottages.com so feel free to email us and we will always do our best to accommodate you in our cottages or those of a family member at the same location

Arrival/Check In –

Usual check in time  is between 4:00pm and 10:00pm. If you require an earlier check in time, please contact us to see if this will be possible. Early arrivals can always leave their car and go for a wander or take their car and go and explore the local area.

Departure/Check Out –
Check out time is by 10.00am on your day of departure except noon on Sundays if it is a 2 night weekend.

Points to Note

  • Most heating is by storage heaters, the cost of which is included in the rental charge as well as an initial supply of coals and logs for the open fire in Jemima’s Cottage.
  • Bed linen and towels included in the rental charge.
  • Laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers are available in a central laundry room at a small additional charge.
  • Cots and high chairs are available free of charge but must be requested in advance of arrival.
  • We are 15 minutes’ drive from Keswick and Cockermouth, so it is a good idea to shop before you reach us especially if arriving late at night, or order an on line shop.
  • Any pet other than a dog is to be agreed before booking

Doggy Rules

  • One dog is allowed provided all doggy rules are followed.
  • All dog hairs should be removed before the cottage is vacated.
  • Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture and must not be left unattended in the cottage.
  • Dogs MUST be on a lead in the communal courtyard
  • Any damage caused by dogs will be treated in the same manner as general damages and breakages.
  • We advise bringing old cloths or blankets to clean the dog before entering the cottage.
